Real life weddings!

What a stunning wedding! This Ruffled wedding, captured by Sunday Romance, features such a beautiful bride, I just love that henna! I adore the decoration used in their ceremony space and I love their waiting room set up (their both doctors!). The medical theme continues the whole way through (note the dessert table!) and I never thought I’d say this but a medical theme is cute!

This wedding (by Green wedding shoes captured by Love is a big deal) first caught my eye with their fab wedding party photos. The decor is cute and has that warm handmade vibe, all so adorable!

 
From DIY cute to funky and modern this 100 layer cake wedding, photographed by We love pictures, is so cool! Everything seems so clean and contemporary and the bride wears such a gorgeous dress!

The bride of this green wedding shoes wedding (photographer Natalie Shelton) reminds me of Florence and the Machine with her wavy hair and vintage dress. There is just so much I love about their decoration it’s impossible for me to highlight anything individual! Just a big WOW.

A little beyond the realms of our budget but I do love when a wedding has a whole lounge set up, just like this Green wedding shoes wedding by Aaron Young photography. This wedding has so much to offer in terms of inspiration and pretty!

Sunday catch up

Fiat Punto: the devil car!

 
This week was a tad stressful! On Tuesday we had a huge 8 inch crack appear in our windscreen so we had to immediately get it booked in and sorted out. On Thursday, just TWO days later, the car broke down when the boy was driving home from work. I felt so worried; he was stranded for 3 hours while he waited for breakdown rescue. They finally picked him up and we got a temporary replacement car (a brand new Toyota Yaris, LOVE!) which was good because my job involves visiting people within their homes, driving about 150 miles a day, therefore I can't work without a car! 

When we got all the details back from the car (which I can't remember because I don't pay attention to that stuff haha) it was pretty major and with the MOT and tax due in a matter of weeks it seemed the car was a write off. It threw me into a major panic, what with the job and everything. At the moment I’m trying to get a transfer down South for our move so I need to be in their good books, I don't want to be calling in saying I can't work! We're very lucky though, my mum was thinking about selling her car (a Nissan Micra) and she's decided to sell it to us and we can pick it up so soon I only need to take 2 days off work! Phew!!!

Glossybox!

 
This week I got my first ever Glossybox! It’s so exciting getting a present through the post every month haha. I got some whitening nail varnish from Alessandro which I really appreciated because I’ve worn nail varnish every day for 8 years but my new job now doesn't allow me too but I feel like my nails have been left a bit stained. This worked so amazingly, I swear they were glowing! I haven't got around to using anything else yet but I’ve got some DHC deep cleansing oil, eves balm, Vera Valenti eye shadow, Lipcote and a glossybox lipstick (which I did try on and I can say it’s very long lasting because I couldn't get it off!). I already can't wait until my next one haha.

New Shoes!

 
I had a morning off this week and I didn't waste it, I headed straight for the shops! I brought myself some underwear, a dress for work and then I made a total impulse buy of these gorgeous shoes from New Look, they are so me!

Out for dinner!

Drinks afterwards, I look so tired!

 
Friday night we headed out for dinner with some friends of ours. We went to DonGiovanni's for dinner, a lovely Italian. I had pate followed by Veal and ended it all with cheesecake! I had work at 5.30 the next morning but against my better judgement we went out for drinks afterwards. There were shots and drinking games, let’s just say I was a bit dead the next morning!

I'm such a fan of the easy tutorials so this heart garland from The Sweetest Occasion would be perfectly suited to my abilities! A totally affordable solution for a garland!

This does step it up a bit more in the skill level involved but I really love this Green Wedding shoes cork heart. It’s great because you can keep it in your home as a piece of art too. The complicated bit really is the lettering so if you want to bring it down a skill level you could just do the heart on a smaller piece of wood!

My Nan is amazing at these and has made some for our own wedding! Here is a great tutorial from Boho Weddings on how tomake lavender hearts.
